6 months later…

It’s been six months since we’ve decided to live on the road full time. It’s stressful at times but we couldn’t be couldn’t be happier. This is the view from outside our front door.

Since we last wrote, we were evicted from the D.O.T. public parking lot… I guess when you’ve stayed 2 weeks past the 24 hour per week limit, they like to put hot pink eviction notices under each windshield wiper. We stayed at a hotel that let us park the Twinkie (oh yeah, we’ve named the motorhome) on a designated area that they have for rv parking, but you must be self contained. Which brings me to our next subject: a composting loo onboard! So, we scouted a few miles up a local mountain road, per a few long time locals suggestions. We found a spot, a pulloff,  right by the icicle river. Just before our first week at our new spot came to a close, we received a note from a random friendly neighbor, warning us that there’s designated rv parking further up the road and the rangers haven’t been patrolling because they’re busy with the wild fires further north. We have to wait till pay day to move. At the moment, we manually fill the airbag suspension by running the generator to plug in the air compressor then run the air hose outside… We’re under 1/4 tank of gas. As a safety, the generator Will not run when the tank is below 1/4 full. Friday evening Will find us at our new spot 5.5 more miles up the mountain.
Back to the composting loo. We’re gonna delete our regular rv toilet and replace it with something a little more convenient and eco friendly for us.
